Will late 70's 360 heads fit a 1968 390?

Kind of, the intakes center bolts are in a different location, the exhaust ports are different, 70 and newer engines use 1/2 inch head bolts. Rocker arms may be different. A stepped dowel can be used to put later heads on a early engine. Slotting intake holes can be done  but I would rather the correct intake be used. You might be able to use the factory square port exhaust manifolds but switching to later manifolds would be better. All just my opinion.  Roger
