I've got a point-type distributor out of a 76 gremlin and we all know that ain't right BUT i'd like to know the original app. it's got delco #111C5233C2C on it, can anybody tell me the original app?

I believe the number should be 1110523 with a 3C20 date code. Possibly the "0" didn't fully emboss the distributor body making it look like a "C".

If it is 1110523 that corresponds to AMC part number 3219919. It fits 1973 six cylinder Hornets, Gremlins and Javelins. It also fits 1973 Matadors and Ambassadors with 3 speed stick less exhaust gas recirculation. The Matador and Ambassador application only shows 2 door and 4 door sedans (no wagons).

If the last 4 digits are the date code and it is 3C20, then it was made March 20, 1973 (3 = 1973; C=March; 20=20).

It appears it was used only in 1973 since different numbers are listed for 1972 and earlier and 1974 and later.
