After painting our '68 AMX, we installed the original rear window, and it looked shabby compared to the rest of the car. We didn't even notice the scratches previously! New rear window glass is available, and I've listed some sources below:

Here's what I found after checking various sources and making phone calls. Yes, both clear and tinted rear windows for the '68-70 AMX and Javelin are available. JRD Distributing in Ontario, California is the source for these. Galvin's AMC Rambler is a dealer for them. http://www.ramblerparts.com. I found 3 other dealers http://www.metropartsmarket.com and www.restorationperformance.com. Kennedy American sells only the tinted glass. American Parts Depot does not carry the rear glass.

The price varies between $375 and $485. Drop shipping via truck is roughly $170 to a commercial address or $250 to a residential address. Shipping from CA to VA or east coast takes 7-10 days. They also have windshields for '60s Ramblers as well as Nash and Hudson!

Thanks. I have a couple of used ones, but I did not know about the older Rambler glass.  Joe

My brother found another rear window he had, which is much better than my original. He will be installing it instead of the original. I'm glad they make new ones!
