Trying to piece my 68 Javelin back together and after wrapping the harnesses with new tape, I'm not sure of the routing of the ac clutch bundle.  The wiring was a little butchered and I took it apart a long time ago.  Along with the clutch wire (brown) there is a short  white wire with a bullet connector that comes out of the re-wrapped harness and I'm not sure where it gets connected.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

Boy tough question... KNOW YOU SAID 1968, I see very few white wires on a 1969 schematic...
All I have on-hand and can offer is this 1970 AMC A/C Schematic....
One WHITE A/C Wires goes to the underhood FAN RESISTOR above the Fan Motor...
Going deep into memory, the Brown A/C Clutch Wire was on Pass side inner fender
going through those 2 Black Plastic "Strap" Harness holders above the Control Arm pivots...
and then "went out over" to the A/C Clutch and had that "asbestos braid sleeve" over the Brown Wire...

I can't think of any white wires in that area. The compressor is right/front side, close to the coil, oil pressure sender or switch (depending) and the temp sender wire may come in there - on the later cars it comes over from the right and uses a short extension to get to the temp sending unit. But that wasn't white, or WAS IT - the wire from the harness on the later cars did NOT go directly to the sending unit but used a short extension - with a BULLET connector at one end (to connect to the harness wire) and a push on angled connector on the sending unit end.

Check your temp sending unit wire....... the AC and temp sending unit may come out close together, they do on some years.

Hey guys. Thank you for the input. Didn't think of the wires running down the passenger side. Or the possibility of the temp sending.

The white wire is the high speed fan feed which goes to the blower resistor below the blower motor on 68's. 69's and up used a different style metal caged blower resistor attached to a stud above the blower motor. A/C and Command Air cars used a different, single wire blower motor.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.

If I run the brown wire along the passenger side fender as suggested it leaves the white wire in the area of the blower resistor. So it looks like a winner. Thank you for all the help.
