Maybe I'm the last on the list to know as I'm new to the AMC crowd. I recently purchased some Torque Thrust D's (15x6) for the '66. It's not really a big deal but it kinda is....so on the 4.5 bolt pattern they had to notch the center area of the wheel to fit the smaller bolt pattern, so....you have to remove the center cap every time you want to remove a wheel, but might be a good thing if you throw you wheel face down. Second thing is Summit lists the wheel as 3.75" backspacing when it really is 3.5", oh and the made in China kind of pisses you off too. They should list this as some are not so forgiving. Just venting, but I included pictures :)

I purchased four Classic Torq-Thrust II polished rim/painted spokes two-piece wheels 15 x 8 with 4.5 bs and 4.25 bs and the wheels are notched for the lug nuts. They are $408.99 each. The wheel bearing dust covers must be removed to take off the wheel.

I wish
bcsideshow would chime in. He had a set of Torque Thrust's on his SC/Rambler.

I think all considered, that's less than "acceptable" and would return them...
A number of companies make that style wheel... Thought the straight spoke was call TTO and Torque Thrust D had curved spokes ?... I like the straight spoke style, gray spokes with polished rim... Long ago had some 14 inch one, they where Fenton Ram Rod Rims, Lug Nut install / remove was "normal" with these old vintage Fenton rims... |

I reworked the caps so that they follow the shape of the wheel center and now I can take the nuts and wheels off without removing the caps.
