Hello Gang,
Recently, on cold starts the car runs rough and stumbled until the engine temp gets to 125, then it runs fine. I just drove and parked it and now the carb isn't getting fuel as the front site bowls are dry. It's a fairly new quick fuel carb. Thanks for any suggestions. |

If no backfire on cold start my guess would be RICH not lean.
Once heated up the heat help vaporize the over rich condition. Sounds to me like the front bowl is draining / leaking into the engine. An excess of fuel rather than shortage. A lack of fuel on cold start up will cause a backfire for sure.

It's a stock fuel pump. When I shut it off, it did have a slight run on.

Carefully remove the Primary Fuel Bowl Needle and seat, gently blow it out,
look for minuscule debris, re-install, re-set float level using sight glass, see what happens. Sometimes just fiddling with it will straighten it out. Hold Needle Nut, crack loose Locking SCREW, then carefully unscrew Needle from bowl using the hex. I like to put some vaseline on the 2 Needle Gaskets and the Needle O-Ring. be careful with the lubricated O-Ring when removing replacing the Needle into the bowl. Or if feeling ambitious, first remove the Front Fuel Bowl.
