Fellers, My '59 Super's little Weber 1904 went south for a "professional" rebuild but has been a source of pain on every cold startup. The bi-metal choke seems to need adjustment every time and if that weren't enough, I get a dribble gas leak from the weirdly mounted design of the float.
Got a tube of gasoline-resistant sealant for the gasket - not wanting to crank down the screws too terribly tight, but still seem to get a drip. Good grief... Is there another suitable carb that bolts up to run a little 196? I'm ready to run a cable to the dash for a manual choke! Thanks!

1909's and Carter ABS and Carter RBS carbs were all used on the 195.6 OHV depending upon the transmission and year. But if you google Holley (not Weber) 1908 0r 1904 problems you might see the cause of your problem. I have an extra ABS I think. PM me if you want it for a core price. Joe
