Agree.
Buzzman72...void where prohibited, your mileage may vary, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

There is some sort of weird indexing thing going on. You can search for it and find it, but it doesn't show up in the top like it is ALREADY FLAGGED TO DO.
So it's not a matter of "make it a sticky" - because it is - but it's going to take a bunch of time to find the reason it's not actually displaying that way.
I checked-  and believe it or not if you go through all of the pages, it won't show up without having it bookmarked, doing a search, etc. and yet the sticky status has never changed.
So no one messed with it - it's a technical thing, likely a SQL database issue causing it to not actually display as a sticky.
That's time I won't have until the end of summer as we'll be gone pretty much all of June and July doesn't look much better...............

Although this used to be a "Sticky" it no longer stays up top
and thought I'd bump it back up because of current Distributor conversation.

Thanks for bumping to the top.  For sure should be a sticky.

Just put a 927G kit in my Jeep CJ5 Delco 1112179.  Beaks on the weights are somewhat longer but everything fit.  The brass limiter bushing was a snug fit (needed to tap on with small hammer) but put on E-clip anyhow (not included).

I also now see why I will want to shim the gear after all.  When the shaft loads upward toward the cap it lifts the "football" upward away from the weights.  My old worn weights had a strange burr on the beaks that I only now understand.  Shimming the gear is the only way to make the football and weights stay in a close vertical relationship.  Thus will take my distributor gear slightly out of the current wear pattern but the burnished contact patch is still far from the edge.

Here is the burr on an old weight.

Here is what happens when I push up on the gear.  See how the football is way proud of the weights.  Although the plate with the weights could also raise up, it didnt.

One of my most used AMC bookmarks. Helped me to choose the right vacuum advance can for my setup, the B26 one. B27 would have been perfect, but it's not made anymore. But, good is good enough. The B26 is available from NAPA, part # ECH VC1765. Paid a whopping $12.

PHAT, your research is appreciated Thumbs Up
