My 71 SST was cloned to AMX and they made some changes to the wiring. I would prefer to replace everything he touched at this point.

I have a chance to get a 70 javelin SST wiring harness and am hoping that one of you subject matter experts can give some advice?

Completely different Wiring Harness!!!!!   The connection to the alternator/horn relay/voltage regulator are basically the same......everyhting else I can think of is different!!  The nose is longer so all the front light harness connection will be a few inches short, the instument panel is completely different, heater controls are over a foot different in location.....okay it would properly hook to the steering column too, you can get the correct harness in reproduction, if you or someone else has gone through that much trouble to "convert" car, don't cheese on the wiring!!  I have parted out a couple of "previously" nice cars for some mechanicals since the modified wiring burned it to the ground!!!  Most Factory 140 Speedo cars, ifthey have been apart have issues at the Instrument Panel where the 2 large red wires for the alternator/ammeter connect, they get hot, ruin gauge housing and start to "cook" the wiring.  Ihave parted 2 1973 AMX's from fires in this area...the one got so far it broken the windsheild,  melted dash so bad I could not even salvage the Tilt Steering Column!!!!
