Does anyone know what I can do with the problem I have with the clutch of my 1969 AMX 390 4 speed. My car was converted form automatic to 4 speed many years ago befor I owned it.. I'm replacing the clutch due to haveing trouble shifting to reverse, and hig gear. Someone told me that there maybe a problem with the alignment do to the ball in the bell housing not lineing up properly. The clutch has worked ok in the past, but I'm unable to get the 1" free play needed.
