John i sent you an e-mail...
I am able to finally confirm that these will NOT fit on an AMX,jav,mat,ambo.....A buddy of mine test fit them on his AMX and although there were a couple issues that could be delt with easily...The big problem is the tubes hit the floor because of the taller mounts....
I made these specifically for the small chassis that allow good ground clearance...AMX guys will have to stick with the hookers...

Ramblin On, the part # is 7105. They are a tight fit but did not have to grind anything. They even cleared the Indy heads although I had grind the head to get the dip stick to fit......Jim.

Thanks Dennis! The seller says these were purchased for a 69 Javelin but never used. Were Dougs headers model specific? Would these fit anything else besides an early Javelin or AMX?

I have an original set of Dougs headers that were designed to fit an American. In fact (back in the day) Doug used a 67 Rouge from my dads dealership to design the original prototypes, but there are no removable tubes on them. My dad was good friends with Doug back then and let him use many different cars (Rouge, AMX's, Javelin's, Etc.) during the AMC header development.
