Well, I’m finally gonna take the plunge and have the bodywork and paint done on the Javelin. I’d appreciate any thoughts and advice you experts have. I wrote up some details in my build thread here: Click for my Build Thread

Re-read your build thread.
I have a 69 Javelin that was in way worse shape so here it goes for rust.
Have your body person cut off the outer skin of the rockers back rear. If everything is fine the re-weld and finish. Your hard launches will be disaster if those rockers are rotten inside.
Reinforce the leaf spring perches at the front mounts.
Under your rear window, inside the trunk look up. I cut out from the outside, rear glass removed and fabricated new for both pieces.
Have them take off the front fenders and examine the troughs - repair as required.
Take out the back seat and carpet to examine the sub frame connection areas, my rear floor under the back seat had to be replaced, rust, bent, twisted.
I have kept the whole front suspension but modified the trunnions with greasable bronze bushings. That and UHMW/rubber suspension bearings - drives like a dream, 60 MPH on a windy road and no hint of breaking away. Rear springs, one extra long leaf and one forward half leaf, UHMW bearings.
I'm not gentle on the car either - drive it like it was meant to be driven!
Also did the Bitter Sweet, you will like it!

Great advice, Lyle! Thanks. I’ll talk those details over with my guy.
