Been a while since I posted. Between my job ( old and new one) and trying to keep two AMC race cars going is always a chore!!. Even the groups face book is a lot of work. The Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stocks are going to be at Great lakes Dragaway for the Memorial Day Classic. Come on out and see the excitement. We should have up to 20 cars in attendance. And if everything goes right the AMC Nostalgia Pro stock should be there. We have a issue to dell with but will do everything we can do to be there!!!

I was getting mine ready to try out Havana next weekend. I found 3 cracked jesel rockers. If I can get them back by Friday I should be good to go.
BTW I bought the rockers over 13 years ago before my son was born. When I called jesel, although it had been some time since the purchase, they are replacing them for free! Great customer service.

Fella's-Dean Skaflen (aka easydean) in West Fargo, ND.  10 years ago I bought an old tube chassis Gremlin.  I put a SBC engine in it as it was set up for it.  Took it to the track and was kicked out due to the chassis being completely outdated and too thin of tubing and sold the car.  Fast forward to today_I bought the car back this spring.  The chassis is not salvagable so I cut it all out.  I have a new chassis almost ready to mount the body on.  The car is, for sure, the Peck & Peck prostock Gremlin.  I received a call from a fellow the other day and the Peck brothers are still around-Doug is 69 and Dennis is about 71. I also received a call from a guy who wants to write a book on AMC prostock.  According to him, only 9 or 10 AMC's ever ran in prostock.  3 Gremlins were built, including the WIBG car which runs today after restoration.  I spoke with the owner of that car and bought the extra dash he had made for it so I even have a new dash-the old one was very brittle and full of holes from previous owners.  I have a 390 stroked to a 416 and will run the tunnel ram and also a magneto.  I am awaiting a call from Doug Peck-would love to get a few pictures of it in it's day-there is only one on the internet.  My goal is to run with the group out of Chicago but I was also asked if I would sell the car should the Peck's want it back-and I would do so if they wish.  What do you folk's think of the old girl-not sure what I will paint it-the body is also acid dipped so it will need to be chemically stripped-the panels are very, very thin, and hard to sand on.  Thanks much, Dean cell 701-205-6906
