My front hoses look pretty standard, is there another option for these?

Wouldn't mind saving a couple of bucks if I can with all the money i'm in so far.

I need the line from the brake hose to the caliper, does anyone know if both ends of this line are the deep nuts?

I know the caliper end is and I would assume the hose end is as well, but I'd be lying if I said I knew for sure because the lines are rusted into the hose.

You don't need the long nut on both ends....the long end goes in the caliper, short end goes in the brake hose.

Okay, awesome!  Thanks!

Last question then I think, can I use these shims on the brakes?

I just need to center the caliper on the disc, right?

You must  shim the caliper, use what ever works, in the past I have made shims from washers too.  If you don't center the caliper, it MAY drag on one side, but worse if way off at the end of the piston stroke (pad wear out), I have seen the a piston comeout and loose everything...including a locked up wheel, it was real ugly, but the car made a great parts car!!  The guy ended up rear ending another due to brake system loss and it was totalled in the day (circa 1980).

Cool, sounds good!  I understand that this goes between the inside of the caliper and the mounting plate, right?  Just to pull the caliper closer to the car?

Is this something that needs to be perfectly aligned or does it just need to be pretty close to center?

Just close to center is fine. The caliper floats a bit, so it doesn't have to be exact. I prefer to see centered within about 1/16", but 1/8" should be fine.
