In 1970 our friend Ted Roberts, an independent racer, bought one of the ’69 Javelins from RKE and updated to ’70 sheetmetal for the Trans Am Series that year. With support from Norris Industries/Fyr Fyter, Ted had Dad’s shop,Custom Craft, paint the Red , White and Blue theme length wise to have separate identity from AMC Factory Team of Penske/Donohue.
