Surprised to discover a concept car called the Budd XR-400.
X-R means "Experimental Rambler". It is built on a shortened 2-dr Ambassador chassis, and has a AMC 327. |

Yep. Budd did quite a bit of advertising in Popular Science and car magazines back in the day. It's a pretty neat prototype, that hides it's fairly humble roots well!

The car is in the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit if you want to see it in person. It's been on display there for years. LRDaum
