Rick Fehn, who lived in Southern California, passed away on May 9, 2016.

We had many good times with him, especially after he bought Al Tyler's
(co-builder of the 1968 Pink Playmate car) '71 Javelin.

Here is additional information on Rick and his '71 Javelin:  http://westcoastamc.com/ourcars.php?id=4

His car will be at the socalamc show this Saturday:  http://theamcforum.com/forum/socalamc-show-el-segundo-ca-9102016_topic80822.html

Rick wanted to donate his Jav to the LA Driving Museum, so come on out and celebrate
two lives at the show:  Jeff Teague and Rick Fehn.

Steve, I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing.  He was a great man and truly loved this Javelin.  He will be missed.

Thanks, Mark, for your sentiments.

Rick, like many Americans, was overweight.  I wasn't aware of his specific medical issues,
but many of us AMCers have weight and its accompanying issues.  It is possible and maybe
probable that many of us could live longer and healthier if we simply maintained our bodies
as well as our cars.  Sadly, most of us don't and the result is what you read in the papers
and hear from medical professionals--in exchange we accept a shorter lifespan.

I hope that all the AMCers out there with the ability to live healthier lives do so.  See your
doctor, eat sensibly, exercise consistently, and maybe you too can enjoy a longer, healthier
lifespan.
