Anyone ever have their blower motor rebuilt, if so where did you have it done.  I think I would like to get the blower motor rebuilt in my 69 AMX so I don't have to worry about it going out on me

Thanks
Richard

APD (American Parts Depot) has new 2-speed blower motors that are correct. I have one and it works fine.

FYI~

The blower motors APD sells are made in Canada, same as your factory radio, passenger side crash pad, etc, etc.

If it's working now, I'd take it apart, clean/paint the housing, put a few drops of lube on the front and rear bushings and reinstall. If you need an electrical rebuild (brushes, commutator, etc) try billd here on the Forum or Google David Bass in Oregon, he does wiper motors and some heater blower motors. His work is concours quality. Moneywise, best bet is a replacement from APD, not from feebay.
BTW, MuscleCarResearch.com has new gaskets for a nice reinstall.

Do you have the 2 wire or 3 wire version? Most parts catalogs will try to sell you a later model 2 wire as correct when it's not. My blower was rusted inside and out with burnt coils. After much research I found this 3 wire motor a match for my 69 Javelin. I just had to change the connector and ground wire loop.
If you want to stay original though, get the old one rebuilt.

If you look at the motors APD sells, '68 through '70 AMX/Javelin w/ A/C has two wires and w/o A/C has 3 wires.
