Those Hornet Hatchbacks are great looking cars. A nice set of wheels like yours really sets the body lines off. One of the best looking cars for the 70's.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.

You are so lucky to live where nothing ever rusts.

That's true, but I picked up the the car in Portland, and before that it was in Seattle. Even though it doesn't show in the pictures, the drivers side rear quarter has some rust in the lower rear section, and passenger side has a bit as well in the same area.

It's been a while since my last post, but I have been staying somewhat busy with the Hornet. I made new brake lines for the whole front of the car, and am using a new CPP 15/16 master cylinder, and a wilwood rear bias proportioning valve attached to a bracket that bolts to the top two bolts above the master cylinder that are normally just tightened to the firewall with manual brakes.

The master cylinder doesn't have a built in residual pressure valve for the rear drums, so I added one inline

I'm still not super satisfied with the brakes, I might go to a different sized master cylinder.

We have been pretty happy with the Wilwood master cylinders.
