hi  .. took the chevy 406 v8  / th350  out of my 1976 hornet and returned it to a 258/6 .. wanted to go the 5 speed way .. was going to use the mustang t5 , but location was bad ..chevy used a t5 /ford bolt pattern in their 1994/95 s10 with a 4 cylinder .. gave it a try and shifter location came out 17 1/2 inches from flat of firewall to center of shifter .. same basic swap as mustang t5  trans .. s10 gearing is alittle different @ 3.76 / 2.18 / 1.42 / 1 / od =.72  .. have a ford 9" rear so i had to cut driveshaft / don't know about stock rearend .. trans uses a  electronic speedometer , so had to use  a gps one .. not good at computor [74 years old] so couldn't load pics

not sure about the s10 t5 with the chevy bolt pattern , but the 1994/95 t5/4 cylinder trans with the ford bolt pattern worked good .. had to change clutch disk to chevy and used a jeep bearing retainer and chevy driveshave yoke .. stock amc pilot bearing .. and speedometer is electronic

pilot bearing = stock amc
flywheel = stock amc eagle
clutch = stock amc eagle  ..  clutch disc = chevy 10.4  fine spline [ 26] [ think 1990 camaro 5.0
bell housing = amc #3235824
hydraulic  = slave- stock amc eagle  ..  master- wilwood #260-6088
pedals = stock amc eagle

Bringing one back from the dead.

Use the S-10 tail shaft to get the shifter to a good spot.  You will need to grind the tail shaft a touch to get through the heat treat so you can drill to a 1/4  inch depth for the speedometer gear to lock in place.

After going through the pain of the T-5 conversion I must say I prefer the 3 speed.  More than enough torque and you go through the gears way to fast on the T-5 under hard acceleration.

That gearing is similar to my AX15.
