hi, i bought a 69 amx project, almost  dismanteled 10  years ago by somebody else and finaly got it painted so now big fun starts. The brakes that where on, are bendix four pistons with front power disc brakes and rear drums. the master cylinder  looks ok for the apli, the booster also seems to be the good one but the wheels won't spin without a 1/16'' spacer. They seem Deadto be  original 14''' 500 wheels with center caps.   I'd like to know if  with 4 pistons disc brakes the spacer is always needed on those 14'' wheels

All 2 seat AMX's with Disc Brakes and Magnum 500 wheels, had a spacer installed between the rotor and wheel due to the wheel striking the brake caliper......this can be aggravated by the caliper not being installed correctly.  The caliper MUST be installed with the center break line of the caliper on the center line of the rotor....this is accomplished by shims under the caliper mounting bolts.   Sounds like you need a factory Service Manual (TSM) ...it is explained pretty well in the TSM.
