On my way out to work Tuesday, noticed my '65's right front wheel had a strange camber to it, made a note to check it when I got home....
Get home, drag out the floor jack, lift the wheel off the ground and find the retainer and cotter pin gone, dust cap gone, and bearing nut backed WAAAY off.... good thing to catch, as I'd been moving the car around over the weekend to make room to work on my RV.......... still got a strange camber to the wheel but that's probably due to being jacked up and set back down without settling.

If he did they probably would have put the dust cap back on so that wouldn't be noticed before loosing the wheel. |

I'm sure I have enemies, but I'm the worst of the bunch. I hadn't noticed the missing cap or hardware the whole time I've been working on the car. I've only driven it maybe a total of 500 yards since I got it, due to all the issues I've been working out of it. On and off the driveway and around the back yard. I actually think the missing stuff may be in the trunk with all the other miscellaneous crap the car's been accumulating. Got me to wondering WHY it was taken off, because I didn't remove it. One more thing on the list to investigate.
