This discussion about what service people do or don't do, reminds me of the late 70s early 80s. Undercover reporters catching service people not doing what they charge for, or creating service by inspection, and pointing out fake issues. Probably the cause for popular change to not to pull into the full service section, for a quick fill of petrol.

Yep for you drivers who never seen the early 80s, most stations would have full service. Most were trust worthy and did good service as a courtesy not a scam.
