I have a 70 AMX Ram Air Hood that has several spots where the inner hood panel has become separated from the outer hood panel. There appears to be some sort of epoxy or what ever they used then bonding these two panels together from the factory. My question is what has anyone else used to reattach these? It would be covered by the hood insulation pad but would like to correct this before painting. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

You can go to any local automotive body shop supply store and get some body panel adhesive.

I would use this stuff as it is designed for that very application. I would be hesitant to use a rigid adhesive for fear of distorting the hood itself.

Another no to using an adhesive. OE is basically a caulk to fill the gap and dampen vibrations.
