I don't know... shrugs. I guess i am happy in an odd way, while having a most difficult time removing spot welds. Either somebody likes placing them in angles difficult to get a direct line of contact, or most of them are as hard as my cutter. Back when I had to patch up the Honda after taking out a road sign with the passenger side sub support frame in front of the wheel. The welds may have been smaller but I never had so much difficulty as i am now.

Here I am at the very front removing the components to the elephant ears (upper radiator support, trough and front nose fender support), thinking what can be so hard? Ha!

After 50 welds done and counting, I have yet to see weak welds as I have seen along the cowl at the fresh air duct, which almost could have been pried off as half of the welds snapped clean.

So with a wee bit of twisted edges from a bit of finding hidden welds, my first areas of trouble are noticeably apparent. Am I giving up... no, but I will make my way to another 50 spot welds eventually.

One thing one realises once they have done some panel removing, rust can be hidden, and what seems clean may not be. Though the seems on the front are not sealed, so it is sort of expected. Considering the amount of protection sprayed on the underside and wheel wells, I am only finding early rust under the seems of near by drainage holes at the trough.

So anyway, I could have cut the troughs out, but I wanted to get to the elephant ears first. Maybe I would feel more accomplished if I had done the cutting, a I would have felt more like a stop on top of a hill than pushing up hill at the get go. Ha!
