The above pic shows the new reproduction seat back I installed. The original was scratched and as it has a grain texture, not easy to repair. These repops fit well, but I would suggest reinforcement with epoxy and fiber weave cloth on the lower ears for added strength.

I used SEM Trim Black to finish the backs to match my interior. Those cars having other color interiors may have a harder time matching the correct color! The chrome trim really brightens it up, as the original mylar trim is usually quite faded and dull....

Hi,
My name is Rich and I wanted to inquire about the Borla Mufflers that you used in the post from Feb. 2012.
  1. What length, width, and depth?  and
  2.  Do you like the sound?

Thanks,
Rich.

Hi Rich, they are a turbo style muffler, i believe i ordered them with the actual application, and they fit great. As for the sound, they are not quiet by any means, but have a smooth powerful sounding idle tone. But when you get into it, there is a lot of bark! More than i expected, much more than stock, but there is no drone at speed like a flowmaster.

I have a few updates to this old file.  The miles I have put on this Javelin have been enjoyable and trouble free. I look for areas to tweak, and will post some pics of the latest improvements.
