Anybody see this in the news today. Passed it while I was looking at something on my Internet home page. A retro looking concept Jeep Cherokee Chief. Thought it looked pretty cool... http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/the-1970s-jeep-chief-is-back-as-this-badass-wrangler-ba-1692389690 Edited by Ram Air Rick - Mar/24/2015 at 4:38am |

I've only seen it on the web, but if they built that I sure would be tempted. I think it looks awesome.

I like it too, and would consider it myself.

I would want the heck cat engine and a six speed manual.....
On a serious note that looks really cool. I am putting together a 1980 jeep cherokee wide track now. |

If they do I hope none of the buyers are as clueless as the commentors were in the Yahoo thread that announced it. It looks nothing like an International anything!

I like it a lot. Had a 1977 Cherokee Chief S, white with black trim, 360 4bbl. Very nice truck, this certainly takes a lot of the styling cues from that era.

Looks better than a Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Love it but those chrome bumpers would never pass the NHTSA Crash Tests. Look for a plastic version IF they build it.

That's fine, I'd just cut it off and weld on an 8" steel pipe. I like it too, but too bad I'll probably never get to consider buying one.

Whether or not it gets made (and it likely will not), I thought it was cool that they'd consider doing a retro-version from the AMC lineup.
