no key - remove ignition cylinder? |

I can't help it, I have to give one of my experiences on ignition lock cylinders... We were on vacation in Wisconsin, the ignition lock cylinder went ge-sproing...the little springs came popping out.. I couldn't get the key out but i could still turn the ignition cylinder to start stop the vehicle. Took the vehicle to a locksmith, he got out his trusty slide hammer and screwed the screw into the cylinder, a couple of slides with the hammer and the cylinder was out, chunks of cylinder inside the housing came out pretty easy, he put the key in the new cylinder and slid it into the housing. That's the easy way.....
