I got a 70 AMC Rebel SST wagon from New Philadelphia Ohio & guy told me car spent about all its life on Lake Tappan Ohio. Was just wondering was there a dealership in or around Lake Tappan Ohio in 1970? Just wondering were the car might have came from when new.

Tappan Lake isn't far from Dover and New Philadelphia. I think one or both cities had AMC dealerships but I don't recall their names.

Edit: It was possibly DOVER MOTOR CAR CO. 221 W. Second St. Dover, Ohio

A quick Google search brought up this:

 Bob Gibbs; Dover, Ohio
1974 Oleg Cassini Matador

BOB GIBBS AND HIS OLEG CASSINI edition Matador go back a long ways, to when the car was new, but he's only owned it for the last decade or so.

"My family had an AMC dealership in Dover at the time, and I remember prepping this car for delivery," Bob said. "I remember specifically putting a turn signal flasher in it for the older couple that owned it later on."
