As I continue building my bracket 79 spirit, I am swapping out the model 20 for a mopar 8 3/4. Now I know the spring perches are off by 1/2 inch total. The mopar is wider than the amc 20 by that amount, which means I flex the leaf springs out a 1/4 inch per side. Would there be any concerns running it like that or should I change the spring perches to the correct width. The mopar is 44" and the amc is 43 1/2" perch center line measurement. Traction devices, i will start with south side machine lift bars, but may go to calverts later on. I already have the south side bars. Thanks Paul

You could just oval out the spring centering holes in the perches so that the springs at least sit straight and you aren’t loading up the bushes.

Use solid aluminum bushes in the front eyes and you can cheat (press) them over enough to straighten out. I use aftermarket spring shackles out back and used a press to give them a slight offset as well for the Ford granada 9 axle I have in Spirit. I am using the complete Caltrac setup too
