Frog, I heard something one day on a NASCAR interview that cracked me up. The reporter was interviewing Kenny Wallace. He asked him, "Hey Kenny, when you and Darryl Waltrip get together, who does all the talking?" LOL. I about fell out of my chair. Actually I like to listen to Darryl Waltrip when he covers a race. He talks like a racer clear to the core.
But on this Hotrod issue - Hey you never know... that HotRod magazine article just may inspire someone to bring back the AMC's. Look what happened to the VW Bug and the Dodge Challenger.
I don't buy new cars anymore due to the fact when the warranty is up on them, the reapairs are so expensive. So I stick with classic that I can work on myself if needed. If AMC ever did make a come-back I think I'd be tempted.

So I'm watching Sprint Cup practice on SPEED, with Darrell Waltrip Larry McReynolds and Mike Joy, when good ole DW starts saying how he likes gremlins (really refering to electrical probs. in a car) Mike Joy says that DW can't wait for the '09 gremmy. Joy also goes on to tell us about Hot Rods April issiue and the article on the rebirth of AMC and how he liked the renderings, not one bad word said about AMC by them, I thought that was pretty cool, considering Darrell Waltrip is one of my favorite NASCAR drivers (loved that Mountian Dew 11) made it even better

They got me hook, line and sinker. I just got the magazine in the mail and saw AMC in the corner. I love finding AMC's and Ramblers in magazines and quickly jumped to the section without really reading it. I thought "Wow, these are great drawings of what AMC's would look like today". Then I started reading the article. I thought, there's no way anyone could keep AMC's reserrection a secret. Especially know that Chrysler owns the rights to AMC. I was ready to sell my Jeep and other cars just to get one. The wife even gave approval!!
I did hope that they would have had a Marlin in there. They are my favorite.
Oh well, Maybe if one you guys hits the lottery, you'll consider buying the AMC rights from Chrysler and then the fun can begin!

You ARE the man! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you reproducing the AMX/3 is the greatest thing to hit AMC hobby in decades!
I just read the HotRod article and found no problem with it, I wasnt offended and glad for the exposure.

But the article starts off kind of belivable Knowing someone out there is Crazy enough to build an AMX 3. Multable ones at that. I just didn't know AMX390 was a multimillinare

I have an idea, let's build reproductions of AMC's greatest design, the AMX/3.

I fell for it. I hoped and believed it was possible a rich person brought back amc without us catching any wind of it. I mean parts of it sorta made sense and seemed unlikely but possible.. and in my great dream for it to be true.. i fell for it. I want it to be real. So what would it take? I mean it'd be worth it.. to have an avanti like company. I'm game if anyone else wants to make it real. (-=
