Thank you for the advice. I'm starting to accept the fact that my budget was just a number to show my wife at the start of this project.

Looks like they range from around $250-$285. There's a Edelbrock 650 with an electric choke for $150 in my town. When Carb shopping is there anything I need to check to see if it will fit. Thanks, Mike

Does anyone have pictures of how all the front brackets and bolts connect to the engine. I tagged and bagged everything but didn't take any pictures or notes on how everything gets reassembled.

Jeeps and AMCs had different brackets between model years and accessories, so one size does not fit all. You best bet IMO is to google images of your specific model year and look at the individual pieces and see if that's what you have. If it isn't, find an image matching what you have and work each accessory one at a time.
An example for the power steering pump: You can see different brackets installed and depicted and work from there. The TSM is also a good guide as long as the engine is installed with the original accessories. From accessory position, you can work out the fasteners from your pile as to what will fit.

When I'm shopping for parts for my engine, what do I use as the "Will this fit your car". Is the Jeep Grand Wagoneer a safe bet?

This Carb popped up on FB Market Place for $300. Will it work with my Torker Intake?
Edelbrock 1406 600Cfm with Electric Choke, Square-Flange. It is brand new, still in the plastic in the box. I'm not a fan of chrome but beggars cant be choosers. |
