Anyone ever mill down a big plenum 4.0 aluminum intake and weld a 4bbl flange on it?

I see there are a couple aftermarket intakes available. Looks like it would be easy enough to convert the factory intake to a 4bbl

Does seem like a lot of work when you can buy one John:
But at the price point, this manifold certainly looks like it would take a 4 barrel flange machined nicely into it, (better fit then the 2 barrel manifolds):

I put an iffy intake on a 4.0. I had to knotch the intake a little to get it where it fit right on the dowels.

I wouldn't try a carb on a dry flow intake.

The stock intake has tiny runners and it would choke the engine with a carb.It would run but it would be real dogbreath.
