    Posted: Apr/29/2023 at 12:40pm
Hello, I am trying to identify if the starter my dad pulled from his 68 AMX 390 is the original or if it is a replacement.
He said it is diffucult to read the part number but beleives it starts with D2TF-11....
The reason I ask is because he said the starter says "Motorcraft" on it so I was thinking an incorrect Ford starter had been used to replace the original.

Do any of you know what the correct 68 390 starter part number would be?

Thanks

It would also be stamped in all capitol letters "AMERICAN MOTORS" with the part number as Steve has stated and a date code
