Interesting article here:

Brampton: Making big Mopars at a former AMC plant (motales.com)

In 2000, I inherited a 1998 Chrysler Concorde, nearly identical to the one pictured.  While I was happy to have the car, I was not into big cars in those days and thought I would keep it only until I could get something more to my liking.  I ended up loving that car.  It was a comfortable cruiser, with great aerodynamics and decent handling.  I drove it all over the country during the days I worked on the Indy Car circuit and put 230k miles on it with no failures of any kind, other than the electric radiator fan, which started making noise at 100k+ miles.  I ended up giving the car to a friend in 2006 when I bought a new Mazda 6.  A few months later, her daughter pulled out in front of a dump truck and the Concorde was toast.

Only recently did I realize that my beloved Concorde was built at a former AMC plant, as was an earlier 1992 Concorde that my father owned.

My 2018 300 was assembled at that plant. When AMC built it, it was out of town. Now it's well encompassed by the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).

Funny, Greater and Toronto don't usually go together in the same sentence. Smile
