#1 Foot operated washer pump with vacuum wipers.
#2 Part of firewall grommet for washer hose.
#3 ?????
#4 Retainer clip for washer hose check valve with vacuum wipers.
#5 Other part of firewall grommet in #2.
#6 Headlight switch retainer nut
#7 ????
#8 Wedge shim at steering column to dash structure mounting bolt.

#3 looks like an aftermarket radio noise suppression device. It went inline in the power wire to the radio.

#3 is a transformer.  If used with a radio it was probably to match the voltage of the vehicle to whatever the radio wanted to see.

Nope, it's a choke (fancy word for inductor). There's only two leads, so it can't be a transformer.

It's probable use is to filter out ignition noise from the radio as suggested in that posted ad (and scott).

Transformers can't be used in DC power circuits, they require AC to function.

That's the correct answer. I have a couple of them around. They work well on old cars.
