I'm looking for 3/8" stud mounted adjustable rocker arms. I've been told 302 Ford rockers will work? I've also looked into Comp Cams Magnum Roller Tip rockers as well.

Harland Sharp and Scorpion both list roller rockers for AMC applications which may or may not be the same as small block Ford or even Pontiac.

X2... You should definitely stick with dedicated AMC versions... and those companies seem to be the most reliable brands for AMC roller rockers. |

Harland Sharp have worked great for me, 21 years 58,000 miles and many 7000 rpm runs.

Gremlin401 - I put Harland Sharp rockers on 1970 AMC Heads.
Replaced existing low cost Crane silver cast "Energizer" roller rockers that were CHEVY dimensions imho. Well the HS rockers were much better, and different, and had to change STUDS and PolyLocks also at the same same time since they were so much different, more correct, dimensionally, more Ford geometry. Which means a little LONGER on both the long and short side of the rocker arm, yet still the same 1.6 ratio. With HS AMX 1.6 Roller Rockers Moroso # 67820 7/16" Studs were used and worked for me. But now from my drawing below it looks like maybe I used ARP # 134-7103 Studs... Be aware, not all Polylocks are created equal, some are threaded all the way through, and some are not. Adequate thread engagement once locked in-place with the jam set-screw is the goal. At least this is what the ancient memory and old notes and sketches show and say, but I could be wrong or remembered wrong. Edited by PHAT69AMX - Jun/08/2023 at 2:37pm |
